Calendar of Events

This is the first in the 2020 series of monthly chapter meetings.  It will be held at the Ascension St Vincent YMCA in Evansville, IN on Tuesday February 18 starting at 6 pm.

The new YMCA is a state of the art fitness facility and community center, built to support the YMCA's mission in Vanderburgh County.  Opened in September 2019, this $15 million facility replaced the old Y which dated back to the 1920s.  The project was underwirtten by financing from the State of Indiana and local industries, notably Skanska, individuals, and the Y itself.

The project was managed in-house by Y COO Jennifer Brown, with design and construction by Skanska, a corporate partner and major donor of project funding.  Come and learn from Jennifer and Skanska project executive Barb Daum how the project was put together, financed, designed and constructed.  Jennifer and Barb's presentation will be preceded by a guided tour of the new facility.

You and any guests must register for this event using the registration button below.  There is no charge for this event.  We will be hosted by the Y and PMISWIC will provide some light food and drink, so come ready for an interesting look into this landmark project.
