The Project Management Institute

The PMI Southwestern Indiana Chapter (PMISWIC) is part of the global professional association for project, program or portfolio managers and PMO officers – The Project Management Institute (PMI).  

PMI membership is administered centrally at the PMI website. PMI membership offers membership of the central organisation plus a choice of membership of local branches called “Chapters”, membership of Communities of Practice “CoP” and membership of specific knowledge areas “Colleges”.

Join PMI

To become a member of the PMI Southwestern Indiana Chapter, you must first join PMI. Individual membership is open to anyone interested in project management. If your work involves projects or project management, or if you simply want to learn more about the profession, an individual membership is a terrific solution for you.

Update Account Information

You must update your account information at PMI so that the updates will be automaticlly reflected in the PMI Southwestern Indiana Chapter account information.

Please be sure to keep your profile information accurate and complete on the pmi.org site. We tailor our member offerings and activities based in part on information we receive from PMI. 

Renew Your PMI Membership

Keep your edge!  Renewal is easy: the easiest way is to select the automatic renewal option when you join, and it's all done for you. 

The second easiest way is to renew manually when you get a reminder email from PMISWIC.  Within 90 days of your membership expiring, log-in at www.PMI.org and click on the link to renew your membership. PMI has incorporated a shopping cart format and will show your PMI Membership renewal, as well as the renewal of your Chapters and SIGs. The PMI Southwester Indiana Chapter will show as an item on this screen.

To renew, simply click on the link that says “checkout” and you will be taken to the billing area. Enter your payment information and press the submit button.  You are done!

Maintain Your PMP

The main PMP website provides extensive information on how to maintain your PMP certification. Remember, attendance at PMI Southwestern Indiana Chapter events is one of the easiest ways to maintain your PDU certification.

Note: You must be a current member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) to join a PMI® chapter.
